3D Typography

I have started to play around with typography a bit more in Cinema 4D, This first one was an idea came from the thought of a kind of marbles run thought letters, But then i changed the marbles to glowing balls and i liked it a lot more. My plan is to continue experimenting with type to produce images, they probobly wont have any perpuse other than a nice wallpaper, but it should be good practise.. Here is the first one. Watch this space...

eTech 9 Live

Hey everyone, I haven't blogged for a little while.
But now I'm settled at at RS, and the new eTech is live, it feels a good time to share what we have been working on. For those who don't know, eTech is an electronics magazine by RS Components.
Its a 42 page full colour glossy magazine that has technical electronic design engineers as a target audience. Now issue 9 was my chance to prove myself really. I was left in full control of the design and feel of the magazine. Although we still kept things consistent from previous issues, id did try to move things forward and keep it current and modern. I also had the chance to learn the iPad side of things, I loved bringing the animated elements to it, and really brought it to life. I must note that RS Components have rights to the magazine and an expert team produce the magazine, I was mealy lead creative for issue 9. Enough chatter. check it out.
