Logo Design

Hey readers,
Iv been so distant recently, had a lot on.
Moved in with my girlfriend in to an amazing flat, So I have been sorting that out,
along with working hard at work.
And here is another thing that has kept me busy. A freelance job for Michael Epstein.
He is looking to start a health clinic and this is the logo I have designed for him.
Part of the health clinic will be to measure people weight/fat loss.
So i incorporated a litteral measuring loss idea in to the logo.
Kept the type simple, clean and professional. And used Blue as a relatively neutral to both sex's colour. He is over the moon with it and that means the world to me. More FLFC design's to come...

Beer Logos

Here are a couple of Logos i did for the PHILL DACOMBE Family Fun day.
There will be two extra special beers.
These are the two logos that will be attached to the pump at the bar.

New Job

Oh boy have i been busy, after finishing my internship i have been to been to my graduation at uni, which was fun.
and also went to bug jam. (pics to come)

iv now started my new job and am loving it. People are so great, its a pleasure to work there.
Im sure there are more great times to come.

Food & Music Poster

My uncle is in the food industry and is putting on an event soon.
So I designed a poster/leaflet for him/the pub. Which will be sent to print soon.

Iv just had a weeks internship at Freestone Creative.
Its been so good. Great place to work. Learned so much,
such an amazing place.

I have handed my notice in at Sainsburys...

This is what i wrote

"I would like to give a big thank you to everyone at Sainsbury’s for making the past 6 years such a pleasant and knowledgeable experience, but I regret to inform you I am handing in my notice. I am following my career as a graphic designer and have been offered a full time job at RS Components within the design department. I joined Sainsbury’s when I left school and gained so much from the experience. I don’t believe I would be the confident outgoing man I am today without you. I have been set to start on the 18th but I believe you have a standard month notice policy. Please could you inform me of my official finish date asap. Thank you.

I just thought i would document what Sega and Ycn said about my work, as the words are very nice.

"Outdoor art installation - It's a very innovative idea that celebrates Sonic and, could be see as the ultimate celebration of Sonic in that it takes it back not only to the character (in terms of the look) but the game itself - what the installation is built of and the fact that you can take out the cartridges and play them in a Genesis system that would be on site."

Wow have I have been busy!

Dissertation Design

I had an amazing Birthday... my girlfriend suprised me and took me to southend on sea for a couple of days.. Amazing! soo so hot.. i have a nice little tan now :D   But now its crunch time.. Iv gotta wack out this dissertation over the weekend.. writing is done.. checked over by a few people too.. so im fairly confident that its fine... now designing... i have spent all of today getting my grid together.. sorting pictures out.. bits and bobs here and there... here is the 10 pages i have done so far...  not final... still tweeks here and there.. i have found there is a fine line between awesome and rubbish.. let me know if i pushed it to far.. or not. :D

Sticker Paper

I bought myself some sticker paper.. so i can place my illustrations all over the world ;)
really happy how it turned out... i love that i decided to get the clear ones...
I started with some second year work... 
this one is illustrating student life... and i suck it on my beds headboard :D

France Paris

I have just spent the week in Paris... Iv had the most amazing time.. enjoyed it so so much.. im starting
get a taste for traveling. I spent a lot of the time walking.. and walking.. and walking :S... but explored lots of places.. the metro makes it very easy to do so.. I went to an amazing gig.. were i saw three Scratch DJS..

Media Triangle

as part of my portfolio i created a bit of info graphics to show my colour scheme.. a key if you will..
oh and i also made a folded piece of paper, so i can show things in context.

Iv started to design the sketchbook section of my app..  its all starting to come together..
Please note that this colour wheel isnt exactly acturate..
so dont use it as a colour refference.. Its mearly for effect..

Tv Tree, Deforestation ,FMP

I spent a stupid amount of hours on an idea of tvs making up a pixelated tree.. i have been taking stills from a video called green movie.. .and i have been placing them on my tree which i made in Maya...

finely got all my stills on my tree.. now im going to spend some more hours animating it... should look pretty cool when its done.. hopefully the hours i put in will be noticed and show in my grade :D

Logo Design

I spent an evening designing some logos to bulk out my portfolio.

Started To Colour

I have started to colour my drawing..

i still need to sort the type out.. then il add some detail and tweek the colours :D

Dubstep - Phatman Logo

A dubstep producer asked me for a really illustrative quirky cartoony logo.. so i did a few sketchs... and iv come up with this beauty.. still a work in progress..
Im going to colour it of corse.. and illustrate phatman type in its mouth..

ParkRock Consulting

I designed a logo today for an IT consultant.
Im really happy with the result.
I saw an R in the shape of a curser.. so played on that..
and yes i did try lots of type faces before i settled on helvetica :D 

New Workstation...

My new toy arrived... I missed having duel screen...

its surprising how much more room you still want even after getting a 24" mac

Working Hard

Todays plan is to work hard.. assessment next week.. iv wrote myself a plan of everything that needs doing.. now im on it.. I have deleted Bump top as it was slowing my mac down.. and we dont want that :P so thats gone... Also im waiting in for a parcel.... i payed extra for quick delivery.. so hope to god it comes today.. because tomoro i might miss it as il be at work..

Just had my mop chopped off... much better...

3D Desktop

Today i have discovered Bumptop.....  it creates a 3d space for your desktop.. so iv been having fun decorating it... i made it look like my actual room :D.. the desk still needs some work.. but i like how my stuff sits on it :D

Wind

Its so windy!!


when i walked out of my house the wind blew one of my feet in to the other and i buckled...
embarrassing.. but nobody saw :P  made me laugh though :D

Football Illustrations

A friend of mine commissioned me to illustrate his favourite football team with the names of the team inside. (this was after he saw my portfolio on my website)


so this is what i came up with... i might posible start doing them for each team and selling them as prints... watch this space...

Dissertation

Iv been writing my dissertation today.. ohh fun :S

my music taste has varied nicely today though..

started off with Slayer.. so then got distracted and learned to play to rifs on guitar..

then i graduly moved around a few random bands.. and now iv ended up with a bit of gypsy punk
